As I took a sabbatical from regular office work in 2019, my efforts were focused on learning the ins and outs of outdoor, natural-light photography and working as a local photographer.
Created a street and portrait photography Instagram account called @wickedcuteworld, which quickly grew to nearly 3,000 followers.
Photography selected to be featured by Boston Magazine, Yankee Magazine, IG Boston, and many other popular Instagram accounts.
Became a paid brand ambassador for the dating app Bumble and created original content to promote the app.
Collaborated with other local companies and restaurants to create paid content to promote their goods and services to my audience.
Launched a separate bird photography account, @wickedcutebirds, which gained nearly 2,000 followers with some posts receiving 800+ interactions.
Studied under renowned bird photographer Scott Keys as a mentee with in-the-field bird photography workshops, critique sessions and Photoshop lessons.
Booked portrait and real estate photography jobs and worked with clients to deliver photographs for personal and commercial use.
Sold high-quality, fine art prints of original work directly to customers through Instagram.

Worked collaboratively in agile, agency-style marketing department to strategically roadmap and build comprehensive marketing campaigns with digital and print assets.
Developed blog topics, performed blog audits and ghostwrote content for the company’s award-winning thought leadership blog, which accounted for the largest share of marketing leads.
Led homepage redesign project in collaboration with design team that resulted in a 30+ percent increase in homepage conversion rates that year.
Pitched new company tagline (HR that Makes a Difference), which was selected through a committee process, vetted and implemented in 2019.

Managed 60 B2B global webinars from start to finish, including strategy meetings, marketing collateral development, PowerPoints, test runs, the live webinar experience, follow-up activity and the video archive.
Oversaw email marketing efforts, including database management, segmentation, copywriting and design, which effectively targeted key audiences as proven with above-average industry open (31 percent) and click (3.58 percent) rates.
PLATO’S CLOSET HOUSTON / MARKETING MANAGER

Plato’s Closet is a B2C franchise company of Winmark (NASDAQ: WINA). The retail chain buys and sells trendy, lightly used clothing. I oversaw marketing efforts for eight Houston-area stores.
In cooperation with Winmark brand standards, created clear and persuasive B2C messaging for a variety of platforms, including print flyers, web content, email campaigns and social media.
Managed relationship with outside ad agencies for development and placement of advertising on traditional radio, Pandora and YouTube.
SANITA FOOTWEAR / MARKETING MANAGER

Sanita Footwear is a privately-held, B2C footwear company based in Denmark that specializes in workwear and fashion clogs.
Worked collaboratively with global marketing team in Denmark to create traditional, digital and social media strategies to promote new product launches, sales promotions, an e-commerce website and more.
Traveled to Denmark to participate in product design team meetings to offer feedback on workwear clogs developed specifically for the U.S. market.
Developed U.S. branding strategy and product name for new slip-resistant clog, called the Sanita SmartStep, which continues to be a successful product line.
Pinpointed brand advocates and influencers and developed mutually beneficial partnerships, including an ongoing relationship with fashion blogger Bebe Zeva.

Created, maintained and grew social media presence from scratch, generating an audience of 5,000+ on both Twitter and Facebook.
Selected as one of three marketers to participate in Feeding America Social Media Committee to educate other food banks on how to grow their online audience.
Established first-ever Celebrity Council who helped to increase awareness of hunger issues not only through social media, but also through traditional media outlets.

Sophie Zine was a local online publication that I created and managed that promoted Oklahoma’s growing art culture.
Recruited a staff of 25+ volunteer writers, graphic designers and photographers to help support the publication.
Wrote, edited, designed, organized and published over 100 stories and ten photo shoots.
Hosted ten Sophie Zine special events with up to 200 guests in attendance per event.
Promoted publication through various media outlets, including social media, radio and newspaper, to gain readership.
Recognized by a state-initiative project called Oklahoma Creativity Project as an innovative, creative mind.
