DINO TAX CO - BRANDING

After being approached to do marketing consulting for a small tax company, I helped the owner to establish a brand within three months. After the launch, he began generating new business within days.

Overall, the company credits my marketing strategy for earning 69 percent of new business in the first year.

Here’s how I helped get the company off the ground.

Brought a vision to life

  • Worked collaboratively with owner to develop brand and brand standards.

  • Hired a local artist to create a unique logo that incorporated a black-and-white rendition of a dinosaur wearing a tax visor and monocle, all while maintaining the look and feel of a real American dollar.

Built a web presence

  • Created website wireframe, along with SEO-rich content, and hired a developer to build the site.

  • Listed business on appropriate online directories to improve web presence, accounting for 20 percent of new clients.

  • Developed a blog content calendar and and served as blog editor.

  • Established social media channels for brand, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

  • Created Facebook ads strategy, which generated 44 percent of new business in the first year.

Developed the brand locally

  • Formulated offline, local marketing strategy, which included business cards and branded t-shirts that were given to his network of IRL contacts. This strategy attracted 5 percent of new business.

 

69 percent of new business in the first year came directly from marketing efforts.
